JOB SUMMARY: This position assesses the quality of software products utilizing various platforms and technologies in support of Company initiatives. This position utilizes skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry best practices in order to ensure that the Company's business applications function correctly and that they meet or exceed the requirements of the business users. This position plans for and estimates the test approach and scope, coordinating test cases design and execution, defect management and escalating issues when appropriate as well as communicating status on a timely basis. This position develops and executes a solid test approach that satisfies the business' needs while resolving a wide range of challenges in innovative ways. This position may oversee the work in-take process.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Designs and develops test infrastructure, frameworks and tools.

2. Tests APIs, user interfaces, web services and/or web applications.

3. Create and execute automated tests according to appropriate quality plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts; management and execution of agile project plans and meeting delivery commitments.

4. Seeks out opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of overall test cycle through streamlining test execution and utilizing automated testing tools or various scripting languages.

5. Executes tests including, but not limited to, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, System and Integration Testing, Automated Testing, Data Validation Testing. Verifies and validates data and code changes per specifications, document anomalies and resolves issues.

6. Collaborates with SQA and development engineers to build, evolve, and maintain a scalable continuous build and deployment pipeline.

7. Analyze results of testing and communicate approval/disapproval (defects) to Development, Project Management, Change Management, Business Analysts, and the Business.

8. Writes performance, load, and stress tests on an as needed basis across user interfaces, web services and/or web applications.

9. Provides mentoring and guidance for junior SDETs to foster a strong team atmosphere with a focus on driving efficiencies and quality.

10. Adhere to Agile and/or other SDLC methodologies as required by the project.

11. Conducts technical phone screens for SDET openings.

12. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across all disciplines and departments

13. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.

14. Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.

The incumbent is considered to be a fully competent professional who knows and applies a broad range of knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures. Works under limited supervision with independence and general latitude to make commitments with occasional need to confer with management. The incumbent understands when to escalate an issue to the next higher level and ensures that decisions consider the full implications (business, legal, and competitive) to both the Company and the customer.
