Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$27.57 - $35.84 / hour

Reports directly to the System Director as an instrument specialist that serves the Lee Health Sterile Processing system. Collaboratively ensures all missing instruments, including vendor trays are located and/ordered in a timely fashion for the Lee Health Sterile Processing departments system wide, including but not limited to the ASCs. Responsible for assisting the SPD Business Manager with the overall management of the instrument process and proactive needs planning. Supports and troubleshoots instrumentation issues between the perioperative services, Central Sterile Processing, and vendor representatives pertaining to missing or broken instruments brought into the hospital. Manages the data within the instrument tracking system, runs related reports, analyzes performance, and communicates results to surgical service customers and vendors. Collaborates with the surgical services customers and vendors to continuously improve forecasting and reduce missing instrumentation by utilizing Lean principles/methods and Lee Healths instrument tracking system. Will provide monthly updates to the system Surgical Services leadership in relation to missing instruments, count sheet changes and instruments out for repair. development and standardizing processes around our instrument repair program(s).

Will travel via Lee Health transport vehicle from campus to campus for any urgent tray needs and deliver/pick up and missing instruments for the entire system including the ASCs.

Education: High School Diploma Required

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing required. 1 year of vendor relationship experience preferred. Censitrac experience preferred.

Certification: HSPA CRCST or CBSPD certification CIS certification preferred and must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
