Summary Registered Nurse-ED Full-Time,SecondShift Emergency Dept. ICorbin, KY The Emergency Department is a28-bedlevel III, emergency department,establishedto provide care for individuals with acute medical or surgical illnesses or injuries for which immediate medical attention isrequiredor desired. Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon theprinciples of psychological, biological,physicaland social sciences in the application of the nursing process.Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs,incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Mustpossessabilityto supervise LPNs,CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students. All employees will continuallymonitorand adhere to safetyresponsibilities and initiatives. Job Description: Description: Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Assessment of patients' needs. Development of patient care plan/s Provision of direct care. Management of patient care delivery. Demonstration of leadership skills. Support for quality care. Customer relations and healing environment. Requirements: Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky. Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years. Basic Life Support. ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
