Application Window Open date: November 7, 2025 Next review date: Sunday, Dec 7, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, May 7, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Department of Ophthalmology, University of California, San Francisco The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking applicants to fill a full-time faculty position in Ophthalmology at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The candidate will provide clinical services in anterior segment surgery in the UCSF Department of Ophthalmology and - if appropriate - the F. I. Proctor Foundation. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining a surgical anterior segment ophthalmology practice and support clinical call at one or more of our multiple UCSF clinical locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our primary clinical site is the Wayne and Gladys Valley Center for Vision and Proctor Medical Clinic in Mission Bay. Additional clinical sites in San Francisco include: the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, San Francisco Veterans Affairs Hospital, and UCSF Parnassus. Our East Bay clinical sites include the Berkeley Outpatient Clinic, Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, and the Oakland VA Clinic. Candidates may also cover Bay Area clinical sites including the Wayne and Gladys Valley Center for Vision and Proctor Medical Clinic at Mission Bay, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, San Francisco Veterans Affairs Hospital, and other sites in San Francisco. The total negotiated salary for this position will include another component at the time of hire.
