| Organizational Unit Overview |
The East Carolina University Center for Telepsychiatry and e-Behavioral Health (CTeBH) is the home for the North Carolina Statewide Telepsychiatry Program (NC-STeP), a legislatively mandated and funded program that connects more than 60 hospital emergency departments, health department clinics, and other primary care clinics across the state of North Carolina to provide psychiatric assessments and consultations to patients using telemedicine and other health technologies. The CTeBH strives to increase access to evidence-based mental healthcare and is actively engaged in helping our field effectively deal with the lack of access that often force patients to travel long distances to obtain much needed mental health services or forgo such services altogether. |
