Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Program Director to lead growth in Woolpert's Geospatial Utilities Market, focusing on the oil & gas and pipeline sectors. This role combines business development, client engagement, and team leadership to drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions.

As a trusted advisor, you will expand Woolpert's network across energy markets, strengthen existing relationships, and guide project teams in delivering high-value geospatial solutions. This position offers the opportunity to shape industry strategy and influence how utilities leverage technology to solve critical infrastructure challenges.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do:



  • Develop and implement growth strategies (in collaboration with internal teams), participate in business meetings, and continually evaluate existing operating procedures to increase margin and revenue.
  • Manage contract development and the negotiations process with new and existing large, complex clients.
  • Understand financial models and data analytics to assess areas of growth and development of opportunities.
  • Assist with budget development and provide support for new/existing growth initiatives.
  • Responsible for proactive client management, client growth and retention, and opportunity development in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Be a champion for growth with field personnel and through participation/leadership with technical teams and any subsequent projects.
  • Actively assessing and developing new growth opportunities through expansions to new clients, markets, acquisitions, and new solution offerings.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with clients.
  • Coordinate with other Woolpert employees to share best practices.
  • Demonstrated excellence in leading cross-functional teams including project managers, technical leaders, and support staff.
  • Be a team player, both internally and externally.
  • Share best practices and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Support recruitment of key talent to strengthen Woolpert's utilities team.


What You Will Bring:



  • Experience: 7+ years in management consulting or professional services within the energy market, with proven success in business development and client leadership.
  • Industry Network: Established relationships with oil & gas exploration and production and pipeline companies.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, geospatial sciences, or related field required. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of utility operations and geospatial applications; prior exposure to lidar, imagery, GIS, BIM/CAD is a plus.
  • Skills:


    • Strategic thinking and consultative sales expertise.
    • Ability to negotiate complex agreements and mitigate risk.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
