Job Description:

The Equipment Engineer - Photolithography and Etch will execute defined tasks with moderate autonomy in the photolithography and etch processes in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment, ensuring tooling reliability, uptime, and alignment with process requirements while driving continuous improvement and cost containment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Installation & Qualification: Installation, startup, and qualification of photolithography and etch equipment. Define equipment requirements and ensure proper documentation.

  • Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair: Utilize FDC, SPC, and real-time analytics to identify, root-cause, and implement corrective actions.

  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Applies standard troubleshooting and maintenance methods.

  • Equipment Performance Monitoring: Track tool metrics such as uptime, MTBF, and throughput. Use FDC and other analytics to build and analyze dashboards to identify performance degradation.

  • Spare Parts & Vendor Management: Manage spare parts inventory and evaluate, monitor, and coordinate with vendors for tool upgrades, repairs, and support.

  • Process-Equipment Interaction: Collaborate with process engineers to ensure equipment supports process requirements and stability.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participates in cost and reliability projects.
