Job Description:

The Process Engineer - Photolithography and Etch - Level 1 will work under close supervision to assist in executing defined tasks in photolithography and etch processes in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Setup & Optimization: Assist in the process parameters for photolithography (e.g., contact printing) and etch (e.g., wet etch, dry etch) operations. Support improving process performance for yield, throughput, and cost.

  • Engineering Data Collection & Analysis: Executes predefined experiments and suggests minor improvements.

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC): Supports team with SPC charts. Monitor process stability and capability and respond to out-of-control conditions.

  • Fault Detection & Classification (FDC): Supports the maintenance of FDC systems to proactively identify equipment and process anomalies.

  • Process Documentation: Create and maintain detailed process documentation including specifications, control plans, and work instructions.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborates with immediate team of equipment engineering, quality, integration, yield enhancement, and production teams to resolve process issues and support ramp-up activities.

  • Tool Qualification & Maintenance: Support tool installation, qualification, and preventive maintenance strategies to ensure process integrity.

  • Yield & Defect Reduction: identifies and eliminate sources of yield loss and defects.

  • Training & Mentorship: Learns from senior engineers and follows guidance.
