We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Systems Engineer to support the development and delivery of flight software systems. This role involves working across the full software lifecycle, from requirements definition through verification and compliance reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in embedded systems, software development processes, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, write, and maintain software requirements, ensuring traceability and managing changes throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop comprehensive software verification plans to support system validation and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with the Program Management to lead and execute key project milestones.
  • Participate in the drafting and maintenance of technical documentation, including:
    • Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
    • Software Design Documents (SDD)
    • Interface Control Documents (ICD)
    • Development Plans
    • Software Configuration Management Plans (SCMP)
    • Test cases and test plans
  • Functionin an automated CI/CD pipeline and participate in maturing and maintaining the pipeline
  • Produceartifacts for audit readiness exposed to compliance reportsaligned with internal processes and standards as well as industry standards and specifications (e.g.NASA AS9115, SPEC 2661, AS9100, etc.).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with flight software development and engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with software documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of software configuration management and verification methodologies.
  • Experience with human spaceflight SW engineering and NASA AS9115 (SPEC 2661) standard preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
Due to involvement with US government confidential systems, US citizenship is required.

Expected Salary range (based on assessment during selection process):
Level 2: 3-7 years related experience with technical bachelor's degree - $110-130K
Level 3: 7-10 years related experience with technical bachelor's degree - $140-170K
