BASIC POSITION FUNCTION:


Responsible for supporting the Engineering team with activities that drive improvement in manufacturing processes. Typical duties will include collecting and analyzing data to be used for Quality and Productivity improvements, designing and implementing tooling, and creating documentation to support engineering and manufacturing. In addition, applicant will support Engineering activities throughout the facility.



TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:


None required.



TYPICAL EDUCATION:


Engineering degree in progress (Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace preferred)



ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:



  • Utilize project management skills to balance multiple assignments
  • Prepare accurate written technical reports, instructions, and drawings
  • Utilize CAD software to develop models and drawings
  • Collect and analyze data to support engineering efforts
  • Work in a lab and shop environments



SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PROFICIENCIES:



  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Familiar with CAD software for 3D modeling (Solidworks or NX preferred)
  • Data analysis / statistics
