Job Summary The Digital Shared Services Manager designs, develops, and implements improvements that streamline Human Resources (HR) processes to elevate the employee experience. This role serves as the principal designer and change management lead for automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. This role will partner across HR and other departments to identify HR service needs, develop solutions, and integrate process improvements into existing workflows. This role promotes a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and service excellence to ensure process improvements are adopted, sustained and deliver value for our People. This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation. What you will be doing:
- Develop cross-functional collaboration to drive adoption of digital solutions and shared services models.
- Lead the digital transformation of HR services, leveraging technologies to streamline and enhance service delivery.
- Serve as the main point of contact for identifying opportunities to use and expand automation and AI tools that support HR service delivery, while leveraging existing systems and virtual agents to maximize efficiency.
- Own end-to-end digital solution lifecycles, from ideation to implementation and optimization while providing progress and performance updates.
- Lead change management in digital transformation in support of business strategy, including the stakeholder engagement and digital literacy with adaptive governance structures.
- Drive and encourage team accountability in data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all AI and automation solutions meet privacy, security and compliance standards.
- Serve as a thought leader and innovator in digital transformation, AI and HR shared services to bring forward fresh ideas and improvements that complement the team's incumbent technology ecosystem and skills.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR Management, IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of HR experience leading people, processes, or projects.
- Proven track record in driving change and optimizing service delivery.
- General understanding of AI technologies, how they can support HR operations, and awareness of privacy and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of core HR processes, policies, and systems, and how they shape the employee experience.
- Ability to connect HR initiatives to broader business goals and strategy.
- Experience ensuring compliance with employment laws and privacy standards.
- Experience solving problems and answering employee questions with empathy and emotional intelligence.
- Comfort using feedback and data to make continuous process improvements.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence and guide stakeholders toward clear outcomes.
What we also value (preferred):
- 3+ years of experience in HR, HR operations, or HR shared services
- Experience designing and scaling digital shared services models in HR.
- Experience in project management and/or process improvement.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills.
- Technical knowledge of HR technologies and systems.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PHR, SPHR, and Lean Six Sigma are all highly desirable.
- Experience in AI development, particularly in leading implementations of chatbots or virtual assistants.
- Experience with AI concepts in practice (machine learning, NLP, AI frameworks).
- Experience with programming languages.
