Security Officer - Access Gate Monitor

As a Security Officer - Access Gate Monitor in Mont Belvieu, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Monitor access control points at the chemical or petrochemical location, verifying credentials and permitting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and/or contractors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues, recognizing that working conditions may vary by site.
• Document and report security-related incidents, irregularities, and/or unusual circumstances according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and assist individuals as needed within the chemical or petrochemical environment.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation procedures and coordination with site personnel, as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
