Inova Children's Multispecialty Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Neurosurgeon interested in a PRN position to join our nationally recognized team in Fairfax, VA.

As part of the Inova Children's Neuroscience Program, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional neurological care from birth through adolescence. Our program combines the advanced resources of Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital with the specialized expertise of Inova Neurosciences, offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services-from diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation and long-term follow-up.

Our integrated team includes pediatric neurologists, pediatric neurosurgeons, pediatric critical care physicians, pediatric hematologist/oncologists, pediatric neuropsychologists, and pediatric psychiatrists, all committed to delivering patient-centered, collaborative care. Families also benefit from extensive ancillary support through Child Life specialists, social workers, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, nutritionists, and support groups. For additional family comfort, the Ronald McDonald House located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus allows loved ones to stay close to their child at little or no cost.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
  • Training: Successful completion of Neurosurgery residency program and completion of a Pediatric Neurosurgery fellowship.
  • Certification: Board eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Neurosurgery
  • Licensure: Unrestricted VA Medical License or ability to obtain
  • Payor Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
  • Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
