Syneos Health is seeking a senior-level Digital and Social Media Strategist for our Digital and Social Strategy (DSS) team. This team member will lead strategic direction across multiple client accounts, oversee the execution of complex digital and social media engagement strategies, and play a key role in driving agency growth and thought leadership.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and execution of enterprise-level digital and social strategies across multiple client accounts, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives and measurable outcomes.
* Lead and/or assist on digital and social strategy initiatives across multiple projects, leveraging data-driven insights to generate results that have a positive, measurable impact for our clients.
* Develop, launch, and manage integrated multi-channel campaigns across digital, website, social, influencer, and paid channels, including strategic oversight of budget allocation, channel mix, and campaign performance optimization.
* Understand a client's business objectives and clearly make the connection between client business goals and digital and social media recommendations. Provide sound business justification for investment (based on market trends, audience insights, past campaign data, and past experiences).
* Research and stay up to date on digital and social media trends, platforms, developments, and vendors. Cultivate relations with leading digital and social media platforms. Strive to become a recognized subject matter expert on engagement, platform innovation, and digital trends across the healthcare landscape.
* Craft strategic client-facing POVs that provide thoughtful direction and recommendations based on industry news, platform updates, and trends that directly tie back to client objectives.
* Serve as a trusted strategic advisor and thought partner for senior client stakeholders, providing proactive counsel that shapes both short-term and long-term digital roadmaps.
* Oversee and mentor junior and mid-level digital and social strategists, guiding their professional development, establishing career growth plans, and reviewing deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with client goals.
* Translate complex analytics and performance data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for clients and internal teams, driving continuous improvement and innovation across campaigns.
* Lead the conceptualization and execution of agency-wide digital innovation initiatives, pilot programs, and thought leadership, contributing to new business development and positioning Syneos Health as a digital-first healthcare agency.
* Contribute to agency growth by supporting new business pitches, digital innovation initiatives, crafting digital POVs, and representing the DSS team in cross-agency initiatives and discussions.
* Establish and enforce best practices, frameworks, and processes that elevate the consistency and effectiveness of digital and social strategy across the agency.
* Proactively identify opportunities to integrate emerging technologies, including generative AI, advanced analytics, and automation, into client campaigns and internal workflows.
Requirements:
* 8+ years of experience in digital and social media strategy at an agency or corporate in-house, with significant healthcare experience.
* Strong ability to deliver persuasive, evidence-based counsel for client communications and marketing teams.
* Ability to work with cross-functional teams that are both large and small and interact daily with different people (including clients).
* Maintain and keep abreast of current and emerging digital and social media technology and platforms, particularly those with implications in the healthcare industry.
* Knowledge of the rules and regulations related to the pharma industry.
* An energetic team player with a collaborative spirit and the ability to influence and unify direct teams and peers.
* Proven experience in managing senior client relationships and leading strategic discussions at the executive level.
* Ability to interact effectively as a strategic partner with senior agency management.
* Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, digital/social media platforms and tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Twitter Insights, Twitter Ads, and Google Analytics, etc.), and social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout, Hootsuite).
* Experience with generative AI tools is a plus but not a requirement.
