Job Summary:
This is a data-entry position that provides program support to the supervisory, administrative, and laboratory staff within Newborn Screening at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: review of patient test requisitions and electronic orders; accurate entry of patient demographic information into the patient database; perform and document corrective actions to patient record; obtain missing demographic information; respond to requests for patient reports; assist with document control and archive functions; perform customer service; participate in the development of procedures and guidelines to improve administrative and/or operating effectiveness; other duties as assigned. Standard Job Summary Performs administrative duties to support providers, staff, services, and unit programs. May serve as the primary contact or customer service representative and subject matter expert. Tracks, prioritizes, organizes, and completes multiple ongoing clinical, research or academic projects. Requires Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) knowledge or training. Key Job Responsibilities:
WSLH - Disease Prevention Division - Newborn Screening Compensation:$21.00/hour (Depending on Qualifications) Required Qualifications:-Excellent written and verbal communications skills -Minimum of 1 year of data entry experience -Ability to type 50 words per minute -Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex daily activities with a team Preferred Qualifications:-1-2 years of customer service experience -Knowledge of HIPAA regulations -Previous experience with Epic Systems Beaker application Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education preferred.
