The Quality Engineer - Vehicle Systems is integrated into a dynamic and diverse team responsible for acceptance testing of prototype tracked and wheeled military vehicles, including main battle tanks and armored personnel carriers.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role

  • Determine and evaluate test requirements
  • Develop and revise acceptance test procedures
  • Conduct vehicle verification checkouts to establish baseline of test assets
  • Execute functional acceptance test procedures
  • Document status of testing compliances and deficiencies
  • Communicate test results to internal and external customers as required
  • Support other areas of Engineering Quality Assurance as needed/directed
  • Coordinate quality activities in the prototype shop across multiple organizations to ensure vehicle safety, functionality and configuration(s)

Qualifications Sought

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering - Quality, Mechanical Systems preferred but other degrees will be considered with relevant experience) in lieu of a bachelors degree, will consider Associate Degree and/or significant technical experience also considered with relevant work experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience required
  • Experience on military vehicles preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
  • Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position.

Additional Information / Desired Experience

  • Ability to work in a shop environment
  • Ability to work within an interdependent team
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to work Overtime as needed, including nights and weekends
  • This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
  • This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
