Summary:

Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care for patients who have cancer and for those undergoing treatment. Deliver chemo/bio products and education to cancer patient population. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating a standards-based framework model.

Job Description:

RN-Oncology-ABQ

Qualifications:

*Associates degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred, with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire. Education agreement contract to be signed upon hire.
*BSN degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program preferred
*State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
*2 years medical surgical or ICU nursing experience preferred,
*Experience in Oncology or Infusion centers preferred.
*Must maintain chemotherapy/biotherapy/immunotherapy provider certification during employment in Oncology department.
*Chemotherapy/Biotherapy/Immunotherapy provider certification required within 1 month of hire
*National Oncology Certification required to be obtained within 2-3 years of hire.
*Maintain educational requirements as per standards related to national oncology accreditations upheld by Cancer Care Services.
