THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB or Board) is looking for a Casino Compliance Representative 1 to join the Rivers Casino in Philadelphia. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your criminal justice, accounting, or gaming related knowledge to monitor licensed gaming operations within the Commonwealth. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring the compliance of licensed gaming industry operations and activities as well as gaming patrons' conduct for conformance and adherence to laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and approved internal controls. Work involves observing, gathering, and analyzing information pertaining to gaming operations and activities through interviews, observation of operations, and reviewing reports, databases, and technology. Within this role, you will utilize a variety of electronic and manual recording and information systems monitored or utilized by PGCB in order to conduct compliance related activities. You will also be responsible for preparing reports and communications of findings; conducting or aiding patron initiated self-exclusions; and referring or recommending administrative, legal, or criminal actions to other bureaus or offices within the PGCB or Pennsylvania State Police (PSP).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Shift work, 40 hours per week
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $55,436.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in a criminal justice, accounting or gaming related field; or
  • Two years of experience performing gaming assignments related to slot machines, gaming software, surveillance or sports wagering; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Two years of experience in incident report writing
  • Customer service experience

Legal Requirements:

  • Employment is contingent upon the completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation, including drug screening and the subsequent review and approval by the Board.
