THE POSITION

Do you possess good research, analytical, customer service, and solid written and verbal communication skills? The General Government (GG) HR Office is seeking to add an HR Assistant 2 to its Talent Management Division team. The selected candidate will partner in supporting a variety of client agencies' business needs in the areas of talent acquisition, complement management, special projects, and data reporting. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The incumbent in this position provides administrative and paraprofessional Human Resource support to the Talent Management (TM) Division for the General Government HR Office. This position maintains updates to the GG HR Liaison point of contact listing and submits "HR Liaison" role assignment changes in AskHR/ServiceNow, as needed. Work includes partnering in communication and distribution of notifications and updates to HR Liaisons and assisting in troubleshooting HR Liaison inquiries and requests for information. You will be tasked with monitoring Office of Administration (OA) Personnel Action Request (PAR) resource account. you can expect to review or forward to OA OHR Time, separation/leave actions and work schedule rule changes, Organization Management related PARs to the GG OM resource account, and deletion of new hire actions for processing by the Human Resource Service Center (HRSC).

Additional duties to include:

  • Accessing NEOGOV applicant tracking system and preparing application materials for agency review
  • Monitoring and providing NEOGOV applicant tracking updates, and assisting in coordinating and scheduling interviews
  • Preparing candidate materials for review for sensitive and critical senior-level or other positions
  • Serving as a backup receptionist if needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 2 days per week in office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
