Description
Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is seeking a Technical Solution Writer responsible for developing accurate, compelling messaging and high-quality proposal content. The successful candidate will exhibit strong writing skills to ensure consistency and clarity to meet client needs. This position offers an opportunity for those who can craft compelling stories while meeting strict deadlines and compliance standards across multiple projects. Must be familiar and have demonstrated success working in a proposal environment, including the usage of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/Client) tools.

Required Qualifications



  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a writer, preferably on technical proposals for the Government and DoW
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and AI/Client tools
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and write about complex and technical topics
  • Strong attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and syntax
  • Must be flexible, highly motivated, and able to clearly and concisely write proposal sections to convey knowledge of the client's mission and business objectives and how our solution meets or exceeds requirements
  • Able to effectively interview provided subject matter experts to obtain the information needed for each section
  • Highly organized, team-oriented, enthusiastic, independent thinker, and collaborative
  • Must possess excellent reading comprehension, writing, spelling, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication, editing, punctuation, syntax, and appropriate tone for active voice
  • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Able to coordinate with IT Subject Matter Experts, consultants, and others business executives providing technical content for proposal opportunities to ensure timely completion of documentation and compliance requirements
  • Analyze RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Task Order proposal requirements
    Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and write about complex and technical topics
  • Must be flexible, highly motivated, and able to clearly and concisely write proposal sections to convey knowledge of the client's mission and business objectives and how our solution meets or exceeds requirements
  • Highly organized, team-oriented, enthusiastic, independent thinker, and strong attention to detail

  • Must possess excellent reading comprehension, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and deliverables under tight deadlines
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word


Additional Desired Skills



  • Familiarity with working with Teams and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLCs), including DevSecOps and Agile
  • Familiarity with writing proposals for DoW customers
  • The ability and flexibility to work as needed and adhere to the strict deadlines of active proposals


Key Responsibilities



  • Work closely with the Director of Proposal Operations and the Strategic Growth Team
  • Creating storyboards and templates (RFI, technical volume, past performance)
  • Writing draft content and/or editing proposal content drafted by other contributors, including technical sections, management and staffing sections, resumes, past performance, and executive summaries
  • Editing completed sections of proposal documents for accuracy, grammar, and formatting
  • Synthesizing raw content from various sources into a cohesive and comprehensive passage
  • Interviewing experts and drafting white papers or marketing slicks


Required/Desired Education and Certifications



  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or technical discipline required
  • Shipley Certification and/or Association for Proposal Management Professional (APMP) Certification required
  • Certified AI Proposal and BD Pro - Level 1
