About The Role
POSITION SUMMARY Provides lending support to Loan Officers and clerical support to the Lending Department by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Doc Draw: Accurately inputs and prints loan documents for new loans and renewals using the loan documentation system Funding Loans: Organizes loan file documents in accordance with loan type Prepares escrow instructions to title company after document preparation Sends documents to title company as required Coordinates loan closings with Title Company in order to perfect bank's security interest Prepares funding check to appropriate entity in order to close loan Booking Loans: Inputs loan information for new loans into bank computer system Accurately sets up ticklers on the bank computer system or database Inputs loan changes for renewals of existing loans into bank computer system Researches customer inquiries as required Payments: Processes loan payments and requests for draws on lines of credit as requested Demands: Accurately prepares and updates demand statements from title companies and customers Paid Files: Processes files for all paid loans, including preparing reconveyances, title and UCC releases and return of paid notes to borrower Types refund checks on payoffs as required Organizes and boxes paid loan files and maintains Box List Document Follow Up: Obtains follow up items such as recorded Deeds of Trust, title policies and titles from the appropriate sources after loan has closed Maintains ticklers Administrative: Answers telephone calls for the loan department Accurately maintains files in the loan department in compliance with bank procedures, which includes scanning Prepares copies of documents for filing and/or mailing Files documents as required Sorts incoming mail to appropriate personnel in loan department Perform other duties, as may be assigned by supervisor. Must have three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have prior financial industry experience in loan department. Must possess a mastery of the loan process and loan documentation LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the bank MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications Familiar with computerized loan documentation/software such as LaserPro Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet time frames Use of general office equipment REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instruction. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
