JOB DESCRIPTION
Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) Department, a part of Fox Studio Lot Development and Operations, is directly responsible for the development and execution of design and construction projects on Fox Studio Lot campus buildings comprising approximately 1.5 million square feet of workplace buildings, production stages, post-production facilities, technical studios, infrastructure, and support facilities. The Director PDC oversees facilities projects from inception through occupancy, managing and overseeing the related work of FOX trades, other supporting departments, and third-party consultants, contractors, and vendors with a core department of four direct reports. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute design and construction projects on the studio lot from ground-up construction to remodels, site hardscape and landscape, associated furnishings, and significant site utility upgrades with FOX Plant Management
- Lead project scope definition, assessment, programming, design development, cost estimating, and scheduling, supporting project goals and objectives. Engage and communicate with tenants, leadership, and key stakeholders through presentation documents
- Develop and manage capital project budgets with a total annual average of $20MM, providing financial forecasts at regular intervals
- Create detailed capital requests and project scope documentation to include programmatic user requirements, comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and other tools to deliver the best possible projects within the prescribed schedule, quality, and budget
- Establish, implement, and support project management policies, processes, procedures, and technical standards to include best practice tools, including project delivery standards and strategies, organizing current project documentation, andensuring ready access
- Work closely with FOX Legal, Sourcing, and Risk Departments in developing and preparing bid documents and contracts, ensuring that company policy and processes are maintained
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and agencies regarding project permits, building codes, accessibility, entitlements, historic preservation, and similar matters
- Integrate cross-functional project activities with FOX teams including Plant Operations, Plant Management, Building Services, Security, EHS, Telecommunications, Real Estate, and other key partners
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Professional Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 10+ years of experience leading design and construction teams, including projects from ground-up to interior office outfits, preferably in a campus environment
- Experience with building systems, MEP, and other technical aspects of facilities infrastructure, and how they influence design and construction requirements
- Able to organize, prioritize, and execute numerous complex projects in parallel, managing competing priorities
- Knowledge and experience applying City of LA Building Codes, regulations, and procedures
- Demonstrated ability leading internal and external professional teams delivering design and construction projects through exceptional communication and leadership skills, maximizing the potential of every team member
- Proficient with design and construction contract negotiation and documentation
- Ability to navigate complex situations, communicating goals and objectives in various settings, and interacting professionally with different types of personalities
- Strong design acumen cost-effectively creating inspiring environments, mindful of sustainable design and construction practices

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $143,000.00-185,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
