Job Summary: The CAPIT Therapist provides mental health services including intake, assessment, individual, group, and family therapy, case management, and parenting education. Therapists will be working with clients referred to the CAPIT program. The Therapist works collaboratively with other program staff to assess and link clients to needed community services and supports. Therapists are to document all services according to the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) standards and Penny Lane Centers documentation guidelines. The CAPIT Therapist possesses strong verbal and written communication skills when working with clients, outside agencies, members of the community, and co-workers. When in a client's home or school, the CAPIT Therapist will employ a calm demeanor and good ethical and professional boundaries. Excellent clinical skills are used to assess the appropriate level of care for clients and stabilize clients in crisis. Teaming, collaborating, and coordination of care with all Penny Lane Centers staff, DCFS, DMH, and agency partners is crucial. This position requires flexibility, excellent time management skills and the ability to manage responsibilities efficiently with little supervision. The CAPIT Therapist follows all Penny Lane Centers policies and procedures regarding the Heart Centered Culture, cultural sensitivity, and cultural awareness. The CAPIT Therapist supports the agency mission and vision in their interaction with children, youth, families, and partner agencies. Requirements:
Position Location: Lancaster, CA Salary Range: $74, 513 up to $93,003 per year Additional $5,000 per year bilingual Spanish differential. $5,000 Sign-on bonus - Issued in two installments: $2,500 upon date of hire and $2,500 upon successfully completing the six month introductory period.
