Job Description




As a Security Officer - Distribution Site Patrol in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, support access control, and respond to various situations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or irregularities discovered during patrols, maintaining detailed records as required by Allied Universal.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted in restricted areas.
  • Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations, working closely with client representatives and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Participate in emergency drills and/or response activities to help maintain preparedness for a variety of situations relevant to a logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
