Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Facility Government in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This armed position involves conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to the public, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication, all while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Interact professionally with the public, library staff, and law enforcement as necessary while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Carry and maintain control of authorized firearms and/or equipment in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
