As a Security Officer - Access Monitoring in Sterling Heights, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor entrances and exits, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Your presence will contribute to a secure atmosphere, while you engage with employees and visitors in a professional manner. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or concerns according to company and client protocols.
• Collaborate with on-site teams and communicate important information to Allied Universal management as required.
• Support the maintenance of order and help to deter disruptive behavior within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
