Job Purpose

The Program Manager at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and a manufacturer of advanced portable power solutions, is responsible for managing complex projects and contracts involving cross-functional teams. This role coordinates and monitors schedules, pricing, and technical performance across current and new programs to ensure successful execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Serve as an advisor to the program team, providing guidance on project tasks and operations to drive successful outcomes.
* Facilitate contract negotiations and manage contractual changes and coordinate the preparation of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial terms and conditions of contracts.
* Identify and establish new business opportunities to expand the product line and enhance profitability.
* Accountable for ensuring compliance with master plans and schedules, developing innovative solutions to program challenges, and directing the work of team members assigned to the program from various departments.
* Conduct weekly status update meeting with clients to ensure effective communication of projects.
* Provide regular updates on program status to the supervisor to ensure transparency and alignment on project.
* Monitor, update and track open ongoing program challenges to ensure resolution and progress.
* Oversee and Facilitate design review meeting to ensure quality in program projects.
* Coordinate the shipment of prototype units to ensure delivery and quality control.
* Supervise the testing required for product qualification to drive successful project outcomes.
* Collaborate with sales team to facilitate invoicing processes for customers during the development phase.
* Ensure timely and cost-effective project completion by closely monitoring schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
* PMP certification preferred.
* 10+ years in a manufacturing business environment & 5+ in Program Manager role, defense manufacturing strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated strong teamwork with various organizations both internal and external.
* Effective communication skills with cross functional teams.
* Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, written and verbal.
* Ability to accurately and thoroughly document processes, procedures, and training documents.
* General knowledge of control systems, electrical testing, and troubleshooting.
