The Technical Intern will interface directly with our engineers to provide critical contribution to project goals in the fields of mechanical design, spacecraft propulsion, flight controls, electronics, RF engineering, robotics, avionics, flight software, and systems engineering. This is not an ordinary "internship". The training, mentorship and responsibility given to you will mirror much of what our full-time engineers experience. You will be engaged in the critical contribution to each project you work on. Furthermore, general engineering tasks, along with training and mentorship, will be given and completed effectively and timely.

Engineering Internship Duties:

  • Will be trained and prepared and held responsible for working to troubleshoot and provide technical assistance regarding robotic hardware and systems.
  • Complete task orders per required specifications and needs.
  • Support by learning and helping to integrate engineering components.
  • Perform soldering, drill press, 3-D printing, design manufacture and assemble parts and test components per instructions and pre-established guidelines, in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for building mechanical or electrical components based on CAD drawing.
  • All other internship assignments as assigned by your designated manager.

Education

  • Must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year accredited technical degree field such as ME, EE, or other Engineering discipline.

Experience

  • Previous VEX, Robotics One or other related experience preferred.

License, Cert or Registration

  • Provide U.S. Citizenship or proof of authorization / eligibility to work in the U.S.

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Must have knowledge of the Microsoft development suite, and the Microsoft Office suite of software and knowledgeable of Web and Network architectures.
