Security Officer - Entry Driver

As a Security Officer - Hospital Entry Driver in Rensselaer, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment within a dynamic healthcare location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to assist staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service to individuals entering or exiting the location, answering questions and assisting with directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for unusual activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols for the healthcare environment.
• Collaborate with onsite staff and law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment.
• Maintain a professional presence while performing security-related duties at the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
