As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Team in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at this retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with guests and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming environment.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required.
• Assist with crowd management and/or line control during high-traffic periods or special events.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
