Job Description:

The Corporate Applications Engineer (CAE) will provide technical support to mass-market customers, via case tickets, phone, and live chat for networking and connectivity solutions. This role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving client networking, communication, and embedded software issues to ensure customer satisfaction. They will collaborate with systems engineers to address client's hardware and software challenges, contribute to team infrastructure, AI initiatives, and provide direct support to the global community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide electronic support to customers through emails, phones, and live chat platforms.
  • Serve as a technical contact for mass-market customers, helping them overcome hardware and software design challenges.
  • Provide support for Ethernet, CAN, USB, serial communications, and C language applications.
  • Perform root cause analysis and document issues.
  • Troubleshooting complex hardware/software issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation, Knowledge Based Articles, application notes, chatbot documents, and reports as required.
  • Handle live chats and client interactions.
  • Facilitate meetings with product applications and development teams based on case trends and customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with field applications, sales, and product teams to support client's technical needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
  • Stay current with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in Ethernet, CAN, USB, serial communications, and embedded systems.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware/hardware design.
  • Experience with Microchip products and networking protocols.
  • Proficiency in C and C++.
  • Deep understanding of embedded hardware and software design principles.
  • Strong hardware debugging and skills with electronic lab tools.
  • Familiarity with Microchip products and networking protocols.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong collaboration skills for global team support.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Customer support experience.
  • Ethernet and networking embedded experience.
  • T1S awareness.
  • Board design experience involving Ethernet ports or USB hubs.
  • Experience with Zephyr or Linux with embedded devices.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 - $205,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
