Position Summary Job Designation The CVD Operator/Heat Treater's job consists of the use of Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), heat treat, and other high temperature resistance and induction heated vacuum furnaces, autoclaves, and ovens consistent with the manufacturing of carbon brakes and related carbon/carbon products. Furnaces may be used for carbonization, pyrolysis, heat treat, CVD, and other heating processes needed to control the life, hardness, density, or other required characteristics of carbon/carbon products.
