Position Summary

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment and helps to realize equipment modifications and changes.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Prioritize and manage maintenance workflow and tooling needs with the management team
  2. Performs Preventative Maintenance on selected equipment, updates and maintains Preventative
  3. Maintenance Program
  4. Resolves maintenance issues in a timely manner and communicates concerns to the management team
  5. Identifies problem areas and safety hazards and works with the management and safety teams and
  6. associates to resolve
  7. Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA and Parker xc regulations
  8. Maintains spare parts inventory and orders tools and supplies
  9. Exercises good housekeeping in Maintenance department, 5S plus Safety practices
  10. Performs and trains Lock-out/Tag-out training under direction of Safety Coordinator
  11. Understands and supports corporate and division Lean Initiatives and Cost Reduction programs
  12. Participates in and supports problem solving in the moment and on teams
  13. Fabricates simple solutions when necessary
  14. Overtime as deemed necessary

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Performs other duties to support the business

Qualifications

Education required:

  1. High School diploma or GED

Experience:

  1. Mechanical and maintenance experience required, with electrical experience a plus

Preferred Skills/ Qualifications:

  1. Good organizational and PC skills, preferred

Skills/ Competencies:

  1. Excellent math and measuring skills necessary
  2. Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, helpful

Physical Requirements:

Education:

High School diploma or GED preferred

Previous experience in manufacturing preferred

  1. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  2. Sound decision making skills

  3. Good math, reading and writing skills

  4. Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention

Conditions of Employment

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/ SCOPE:

  • Report directly to Process Engineer

  • Communicates and works on teams with production associates and management about needed maintenance with support and supervision from the maintenance manager. Works with contractors and suppliers on a limited basis.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The employee may be subject to:

  • High noise levels from operating machines and equipment

  • Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels

  1. Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)

  2. Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis

  3. Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions

  4. Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Work Hours:

Sunday - Friday 10:00PM - 6:00AM

OT as needed.

Occasional Mandatory 9 Hour Days

Pay:

$27.18 - $33.54
