About Marvell

Marvell's semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.

At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

The Compute and Custom Solutions (CCS) team at Marvell is driving innovation at the heart of next-generation silicon as part of the Data Center Group. We design cutting-edge SoCs and processors using advanced process nodes. Our high-performance solutions fuel the future of data centers, enterprise infrastructure, wireless networks, and compute platforms.

The Marvell post silicon validation group designs and develops test platforms for validating multi-core Arm-based Network processors and custom ASIC's, used in many communication infrastructure applications such as 5G base stations, hard disk drive (HDD), Fiber Channel (FC), solid-state drive (SSD), NICs, Data Center and Cloud Computing platforms.

In this exciting role, you'll be part of the Post-Silicon Validation team, where your work will span multiple phases of product development-from early bring-up to full system validation. You'll help shape the performance and reliability of Marvell's products by developing software, crafting test plans, and enabling customer platforms. Our teams works hands-on with a wide range of high-speed IO interfaces-including Ethernet, PCIe, SSD controllers IPs like NVME and NAND, next gen DDR technologies, HBM etc. If you're passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology and solving complex challenges, this is the place to make an impact.

What You Can Expect

  • Develop and maintain bare-metal embedded firmware in C/C++ for ARM multicore SoCs using concurrent programming.
  • Develop Linux user space or kernel drivers for NVMe over PCIe, including PCIe resets during live IO traffic.
  • Work on custom evaluation systems with pre-silicon emulation (FPGA, Zebu) and post-silicon platforms.
  • Understand the storage I/O stack from host to device across hardware and software.
  • Conduct experiments and data collection, creating professional reports of results.
  • Collaborate with design teams to produce application notes, reference firmware, software libraries, and other technical documents for new/existing SoC features.
  • Troubleshoot technical and customer issues and provide support to field engineering teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering, and at least 5-10 years professional experience and/or Master's degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering, and at least 3-5 years professional experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in NVMe over PCIe interfaces.
  • Experience working with MCTP/MI via PCIe VDM or SMBus.
  • Experience in Firmware Development under Bare Metal/Linux Environment and Debugging on SoCs for embedded Applications
  • Strong understanding of validation concepts and SoC architecture
  • Proficient in C/C++ , assembly , 64 bit ARM CPU architecture
  • Proficient in utilizing hardware tools, including protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of protocol specification, such as NVMe, PCIe, or CXL.
  • Knowledgeable in low-speed I/O interfaces, such as I2C, I3C, SMBus and SPI.
