The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care will be hiring a PRN Staff Music Therapist. You will provide individual and group music therapy services throughout the hospital. Coverage areasinclude adult and pediatric inpatient psychiatry units, psychiatric partial hospitalization programs, pediatric intensive care unit, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric medical/surgical and hematology/oncology units, and adult inpatient palliative care. This position is located at our Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City. Duties to include: * Provides quality patient care including evaluation, treatment planning and documentation appropriate for patient condition and age * Provides individual and group music therapy services to hospitalized behavioral health child, adolescent and adult patients * Provides individual music therapy services to patients and families as part of the adult palliative care service * Ability to work independently while maintaining an interdisciplinary team focus * Provide patient coverage in additional clinical areas as needed About: University of Iowa Health Care -recognized as one of the best hospitals in the United States-is Iowa's only comprehensive academic medical center and a regional referral center. BC) is required. * Entry level experience in Music Therapy * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
