VIDEO EDITOR (8 - 10 years experience)



  • Location: Cupertino, CA
  • Schedule: In-Office in Sunnyvale as needed (Potential to be involved on set for Bay-Area shoots)
  • Pay Comments: W2, weekly pay, benefits, 401k w/ match


Key Qualifications



  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in video production, post-production or digital asset management related to video.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Davinci Resolve, Pro Tools, Frame.io
  • Solid understanding of video industry standard formats, workflows, systems, and concepts
  • Familiar with the use of network storage systems (SAN, NFS, SMB), DAM and CMS systems.
  • Familiar with the use and application of metadata.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and file types in video production and post-production.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Adept at learning and applying new tools.
  • Creative problem-solver who can identify and address challenges at their core, not just superficially.
  • Proactive contributor who can work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated skills in core areas: concise and clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Expertise in building credibility, rapport, and productive relationships across functions in a large organization.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, flexible, and comfortable navigating rapid change in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to handle high-level responsibilities, with a high level of accountability for outcomes.


Responsibilities



  • Collaborate and coordinate with producers, camera team, and post-production to ensure a smooth ingest process and experience.
  • Organize content coming in from shoots into project folders on SAN, Frame.io.
  • Ingest, process and transcode footage shot on-device or 3rd party cameras
  • Generate proxy files as necessary
  • Ensure shoot standards are being upheld
  • Develop and maintain workflows and best practices for new and existing file formats
  • Manage and maintain archiving best practices at project close, ensuring parity between Frame.io and SAN files
  • Fulfill compression requests
  • Provide final assets to internal partners when requested
  • Act as SME for video-specific features of the DAM
  • Collaborate with DAM PM and stakeholders on defining, building, testing, and refining video-specific features of the DAM
  • Fulfill the same roles above as/if they transition to the DAM
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience required
