ROLE OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for multiple accounting functions, focusing on Accounts Payable and some general account reconciliations. Ensures deadlines are met and accounting processes are handled in a timely manner. Also supports team by performing various and changing accounting duties as needed. Must be willing to learn all aspects of the job (in detail) and support the team in a variety of circumstances.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)



  1. Creates purchase orders for employees and managers in the field
  2. Sorts through incoming invoices through email/mail and intercompany
  3. Reviews invoices to verify costs and coding match established purchase order
  4. Processes invoices against established purchase order and receives costs
  5. Uploads invoices into web-based document routing and storage system (Tungsten) and sends to appropriate approvers
  6. Vouchers approved invoices in Tungsten to JDE for vendor payments
  7. Balances voucher batches to Tungsten and signs off per SOX process
  8. Reviews weekly payment reports to identify any errors before paying invoices
  9. Fixes any invoice or approval errors on invoices before paying
  10. Reviews statements and contacts vendor for any missing invoices
  11. Handles vendor calls for payment status
  12. Reviews RNV at month-end to identify issues and fix if needed.
  13. Analyze Weekly RNV Reconciliation
  14. Periodically cleans up older open purchase orders
  15. Assists with special projects
  16. Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)



  1. High School Graduate or GED; some college level course work a plus
  2. 1-3 years accounts payable experience
  3. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  4. Strong mathematical, spelling and grammar skills
  5. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  6. Microsoft Office Suite, 10 key by touch and JDE experience preferred
  7. Must be reliable and dependable during crucial accounting periods
  8. Must maintain confidentiality of financial data
  9. Must be adaptable and able to multitask, triage priorities in periods of peak volume
  10. May require overtime from time to time to meet month-end close deadlines
