Description

Under the direction of a manager, the Mortgage Loan Funder evaluates residential loans and funds them in accordance with secondary market requirements and the bank's established goals and standards. Works collaboratively with Closers, Processors and Escrow Agents to ensure a timely and accurate loan funding process.

Essential Functions:



  • Checks in and reviews executed loan packages to ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Uploads executed loan documents into imaged loan file
  • Ensures all funding loan conditions are cleared per investor requirements
  • Reviews Escrow Agent's settlement statement/Closing Disclosure for any fee discrepancies
  • Balances with Escrow Agents and Disburses funds as needed utilizing a variety of tools such as cashier's checks, deposit accounts, and wire transfer
  • Performs post funding duties such as, MERS registration, homeowner's insurance and property tax tracking, activating mortgage insurance and disbursing premiums for FHA, VA
  • Ability to fund government, construction, commercial and complex loan programs
  • Generates daily funding reports and manages completion of related tasks
  • Creates post consummation Closing Disclosure when needed
  • Prepares file for the Shipping team and creates booking package for servicing
  • Provides assistance/training to funders with less experience and may be asked to provide occasional technical assistance that is job specific
  • Provides professional and high quality customer service to all internal and external partners, researching and resolving routine issues
  • Performs general correspondence and administrative duties as requested by department manager/peer leader
  • Provides solutions and resolves complex funding and post funding investor issues while discerning when to appropriately escalate to management
  • Assists with projects, process improvement and data collection

    • Mortgage Loan Funder I: Minimum of 1 year experience working in mortgage or loan servicing environment preferred
    • Mortgage Loan Funder II: Minimum of 2-3-year experience working in mortgage or loan servicing environment preferred




Qualifications:



  • Demonstrates accuracy in working with detailed data in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of loan collateral and documentation perfection within Bank, federal and state requirements preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain excellent relationships with management, staff and team members, using diplomacy and tact effectively to solve problems, gather data from multiple sources and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ability to efficiently operate calculators, word processing, using the internet and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook as well as department specific software
  • Strong telephone, email and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required.


Compensation:

Mortgage Loan Funder I: $17.49 to $26.24 per hour
Mortgage Loan Funder II: $20.66 - $31.51 per hour

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is also eligible to participate in an applicable annual bonus plan.
