GENERAL SUMMARY: Act as nutritional consultant and resource to members of the health care team. Provides comprehensive nutritional care including assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, implementation of a care plan, counseling, education, and evaluation of outcomes to patients, families, and associates. Coordinates various education programs and seminars on nutritional topics. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited DPD (Didactic Program in Dietetics) and supervised practice program (dietetic internship) required IF: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential was obtained prior to January 1, 2024, AND Credential is active and issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Master's Degree required with Bachelor's in Dietetics or related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited DPD (Didactic Program in Dietetics) and supervised practice program (dietetic internship) IF: Initial registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is effective on or after January 1, 2024. Advanced Practice Certification preferred. Requires the ability to read, write and speak English; use and understand medical terminology. Follow oral and written instructions; perform arithmetic calculations. Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Requires a relatively high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work with medical, nursing and other health care professionals, patients, and their families.
