Description We are currently seeking a Data Governance Engineer to support our customer that is enhancing their Data Governance & Compliance team to build and mature the organization's data governance framework. With a significant amount of enterprise data already in the cloud and little yet cataloged or classified, we are looking for a hands-on Data Governance Engineer to support the foundational work needed to operationalize Microsoft Purview across the enterprise. This is a hands-on-keyboard, task-focused role ideal for someone early in their data governance career who is eager to learn and execute. Top Skills' Details * 2+ years of experience in data governance, data engineering, cybersecurity, or related technical discipline. * Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and Unified Catalog * Experience working with cloud-based data sources, preferably Azure. * Ability to perform detail-oriented, repetitive, task-driven work with high accuracy * Strong technical curiosity and willingness to grow into a larger governance engineering role. Key Responsibilities Work directly within Microsoft Purview (Data Map & Unified Catalog) to: oRegister data sources oConfigure and run scans oClassify data assets Support cataloging efforts for 1,200+ data sources across Azure environments. Execute day-to-day task-based work assigned by the Data Governance leadership team. Collaborate with existing analysts within Data Compliance and broader Cyber teams. Skills Data governance, Azure, Data management, Data quality, Data t Additional Skills & Qualifications NICE TO HAVE: Prior experience cataloging or classifying enterprise data. Exposure to compliance functions, data lifecycle management, or cloud security. Background supporting data governance programs in healthcare or regulated industries. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
