*Accounts Payable Specialist - Fiber Infrastructure (ContracttoHire)* *Location:* Phoenix, AZ (PHX)
*Pay:* $25-$30/hour *Employment Type:* ContracttoHire *About the Opportunity* * Our client is a rapidly growing fiber infrastructure company building new fiber routes into major data centers throughout the Phoenix market. * The company is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist *with mandatory construction industry experience*. Candidates must have supported AP for construction or constructionrelated operations. * This role manages vendor billing, AP workflows, and vendor onboarding tied to active fiber deployment projects across the Phoenix area. *Responsibilities* * Process all vendor and subcontractor invoices tied to fiber construction projects. * Verify accuracy for materials, labor, subcontractor work, and change orders. * Collaborate closely with construction managers and field teams to reconcile job costs and confirm completed work. * Manage the full vendor onboarding process, including collecting W9s, COIs, bank details, and compliance documentation. * Maintain organized, uptodate vendor files for all active projects. * Communicate directly with vendors to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing details. * Support monthend close, cost tracking, and reporting tied to fiber deployments into data centers. *Required Qualifications* * Must have *direct construction industry Accounts Payable experience*. * Experience processing highvolume construction invoices and working with jobcosting or projectbilling structures. * Ability to work effectively with field operations, project managers, and procurement teams. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP or accounting systems. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced constructiondriven environment. *Preferred Qualifications* * AP experience in telecom, fiberoptic construction, or utility infrastructure is a major plus. * Familiarity with underground fiber builds, aerial construction, or lowvoltage/telecom contractor billing. * Knowledge of lien releases, COIs, threeway matching, and construction compliance workflows. * Experience with NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or constructionfocused ERP tools. *Work Environment* * Supports construction operations across the Phoenix market, including fiber builds into regional data centers. * Fastpaced, projectdriven environment with daily collaboration across construction, engineering, and procurement teams. * Contracttohire with onsite or hybrid expectations depending on client needs. * Candidates must be located in or near the Phoenix area. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
