Pay Rate: $56/hr to $68/hr on w2
Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 1st 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Job Description:
- The SI&WS GMSE division creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with both commercial and proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements, design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
- The Associate Ground Systems Engineer will join a high-performing team that is immersed in high intensity development projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work proprietary programs for U.S. government customers who are responsible for exciting advanced technology national security missions.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Apply modern DevSecOps practices (including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerized deployments, and infrastructure as code) to streamline integration and test activities.
- Stand up, configure, and maintain secure test environments leveraging cloud-native and virtualized resources
- Drive continuous improvement of integration and test processes, incorporating automation, metrics, and lessons learned to increase efficiency and reliability
- Automate, develop, monitor, improve, and troubleshoot across software engineering development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls.
- Review, develop, document, and maintain system requirements and traceability.
- Interface with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external customers.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with an adjudicated polygraph, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship.
- 2-5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Python programming language.
- Experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline and tools.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Java, JavaScript/React, database, and mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS).
- Experience working with Government customers.
- Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
Education:
