Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a QA Manager at our Hebron OH plant. Hebron is located 30 miles outside of Columbus OH. The QA Manager reports to the site Plant Manager. The QA Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous Quality improvement, formulating corrective and preventive actions, and working to implement those actions to improve quality levels and regulatory compliance. The individual will serve as a change agent and represent the Quality function on assigned project teams.

What you'll do:



  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality department for the Hebron site, including the Manufacturing and Shipping operations, and support plant level process improvement activities.
  • Help strengthen the existing Quality Management System (QMS) up to and including creating a site Quality Manual.
  • Heavy focus on identifying and resolving Quality issues with a wide array of incoming purchased parts and materials.
  • Drive and manage customer complaint root cause investigations.
  • Performs and documents root cause investigations related to products and component rejections.
  • Improve customer satisfaction by focusing on reducing or preventing customer complaints.
  • Supports Production personnel by resolving process and material related quality problems in support of various manufacturing departments.
  • Coordinates with the Supervisors to develop and conduct training on quality standards, measurement devices, quality alerts, procedure changes, etc.
  • Assists in process improvement efforts by working with the Operations team to identify, implement and validate process changes.
  • Performs Quality Systems audits of Suppliers as needed.
  • Reviews Certificates of Conformance as needed.
  • Presents quality data with analysis to the management team.
  • Supports 'Building Quality into a Process by utilizing various Quality tools such as FMEA, process capability, Gage R&R, SPC, pareto analysis and other six sigma/lean tools.
  • Participates in Lean Manufacturing projects as well as other plant initiatives.


What you'll bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science or equivalent along with a minimum of 5-7 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) credential strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of metrology, inspection methods, blueprint reading, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of metal forming and welding is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in an industry processing carbon steels is preferred.
  • Knowledge of stamping operations strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and Lean principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Statistical Analysis Packages.
  • Excellent communication skills within all levels of the organization.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $46,320 - $63,690. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
