POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data from employees to process and deliver paychecks. Verifies and updates payroll records with changes in employee details, benefits, taxes, deductions, and other payments.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include, but are not limited to:
- Acts as first point of contact for all time and labor-related queries.
- Administers time and labor-related documentation.
- Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Compiles employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
- Computes wages and deductions and enter data into computer.
- Maintains confidential personnel time and labor files.
- Performs various clerical and administrative duties.
- Prepares meeting agendas, assembles agenda packets, attends meetings and takes minutes, and distributes meeting minutes and action item checklists to appropriate individuals.
- Processes and issues employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
- Processes paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
- Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
- Reviews time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Schedules and coordinates a variety of meetings, conference calls, training sessions, and other events.
- Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- A High School diploma or GED. and at least four (4) years of relevant experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint payroll.

- Ability to maintain attention to detail, analyze complex systems, manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to maintain company and employee confidentiality and handle sensitive proprietary information in the appropriate manner.
- Ability to meet the level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability, and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
BUSINESS ASSOCIATION: Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of a sensitive nature. IMPACT: Errors may be difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of customer business, material, or equipment to resolve. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Individuals must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- This position works in an office environment with low noise level due mostly to office equipment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, and occasionally climb or balance, squat, stoop, twist, turn, push, pull, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms.
- This position frequently must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and infrequently must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing requirements include ability to listen and respond appropriately to conversations in person, virtually, and over the phone.
- Only electrical hazards and other minor potential hazards normally found in an office environment are anticipated.
