The Mission...

Leidos is seeking a ServiceNow Lead to be part of the mission solution and help lead AFLCMC, HNCD Digital Modernization Strategy. The ServiceNow Lead will be responsible for managing and overseeing the execution of technical projects within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. You will work closely with technical teams, business analysts, and clients to ensure successful implementation and utilization of the ServiceNow platform. You will be expected to have strong technical knowledge, excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Tasks:

  • Lead the ServiceNow Architecture development, enhancements and implementations.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders in utilizing ServiceNow for managing enterprise services and enhancements using new technologies (i.e., AI and automation).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build roadmaps, provide recommendations, lead development and utilization of new technologies and services to enhance and fully utilize ServiceNow services and capabilities.
  • Provide assistance to development teams as needed.
  • Plan, organize, and execute ServiceNow projects, including scoping, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to ensure projects remain on track and within budget.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the project.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform, cloud technologies, and IT project management methodologies, including its modules, functionalities, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects, including managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate project teams, and to lead and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing workflows, including process automation and integrations.
  • Ability to customize the ServiceNow platform to meet specific business needs, including scripting, table customization, and UI enhancements.
  • Knowledge of integrating ServiceNow with other systems, such as ERP, CRM, and HR systems.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow security features and best practices for securing data and access.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript, JQuery, and Python (if required).
  • Understanding of SQL for querying and manipulating data within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Basic understanding of database concepts, including data modeling and data integrity.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure components, such as servers, networks, and storage
  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow's architecture, configuration, and integration capabilities, as well as other relevant cloud platform technologies.
  • Proficient in agile methodologies and frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

Basic Qualifications and required educational requirements:

  • Bachelor's and 12 years of experience, Master's and 10 years of experience or 16+ in lieu of a degree
  • 10+ years of experience as ServiceNow Developer
  • 5+ years as a ServiceNow Solutions Architect
  • 5+ years leading ServiceNow development teams
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Required ServiceNow certifications:

  • Certified System Administrator (baseline)
  • Certified Application Developer (baseline)

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with technical discussions and reviews.
  • 5+ years of experience across numerous parts of the ServiceNow platform and experience with commonly integrated third-party technologies
  • 5+ years of experience with developing ServiceNow solutions across various platform applications, such as ITSM, ITOM (HAM and SAM), ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, HR
  • 5+ years of Industry experience (e.g. Financial Services, Healthcare, High Tech, Manufacturing, Retail, etc.)
  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience driving change/solutions.
  • Ability to work in a high growth, fast paced environment
  • Excellent understanding of system architecture, design principles, and impacts
  • Experience supporting IT related data integrity (CMDB, HAM, SAM etc.)
  • Excellent technical leadership skills and initiative to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to deliver technical solutions simply and succinctly
  • Experience with the US Federal Government
  • Project Management or Agile certification
  • ITILv4 Foundations Certification
