The Opportunity

The Flight Department in Daytona Beach is seeking a Part-Time Flight Media Specialist. This position is responsible for producing multimedia content that will modernize and enhance current flight training support material. The position will utilize instructional design methodology applicable to flight training. The Part-Time Flight Media Specialist will possess in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the video production process, including pre-production, production, and post-production. This encompasses script writing/editing, storyboarding, scheduling and coordinating talent, location scouting, camera operation, lighting setup, audio recording, video and sound processing, and non-linear editing. Some motion graphics experience is necessary. Applicant should be very familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom.

The Part-Time Flight Media Specialist will also be responsible for creating materials that can be used for student and instructor recruitment, course support, promotional videos, meetings, presentations, and any other department functions and/or initiatives.

Other responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Coordinating and recording interviews

  • Recording and organizing stock footage

  • Developing scripts for training videos and other department projects

  • Creating new instructor pilot recurrency training and in-service training materials

  • Developing and maintaining all department websites and other web-based initiatives

  • Collecting, organizing, and maintaining a repository of department photos and videos that can be used for flight department projects

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of related work experience.

  • Experience with instruction design method.

  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office, photo/video editing software tools, Adobe, Learning Management Systems, and web design software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
