Position Title: Machine Operator & Welder
Wage: $17.00-$25.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm QPS Employment Group has a great Machine Operator & Welder position available at a company in Wilton, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Machine Operator & Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate MIG, TIG, and Stick welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal parts and structures. - Set up and operate machinery and tools, including plasma cutters, press brakes, grinders, torches, and welding clamps. - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine proper welding methods and specifications. - Measure and verify dimensions of fabricated parts using dial calipers and micrometers. - Inspect completed welds and finished parts to ensure compliance with industry codes and quality standards. - Safely operate cranes and lifting devices to move heavy materials during the fabrication process. - Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and project specifications. - Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety policies and procedures. Machine Operator & Welder Requirements: - Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. - Strong experience using dial calipers and micrometers. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. - Familiarity with welding tools and fabrication equipment, including grinders, torches, plasma cutters, and press brakes. - Understanding of welding codes and standards (such as AWS and ASME). - Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. - Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
