Essential Functions
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  • Manage daily inventory issues/problems/variances; complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Check and verify reported finished goods inventory, daily, to ensure correct reporting and issuing of product to shop order packet.
  • Check shop orders daily to ensure the operators have issued the correct amount of product, cans, film, lids, etc., for all production lines; make substitutions when needed.
  • Close all shop orders using a 4 step process. All shop orders must be closed at the end of every month for the accounting department (roughly 60-70 a day).
  • Work with other departments such as warehouse and production teams to investigate and correct inventory reporting discrepancies that may occur; including shortages, discrepancies on pallet tags versus Macola and any other transaction discrepancies.
  • Correct any RF scanning gun mistakes due to forklift driver or production team error.
  • Cycle count inventories of various items weekly to research and correct discrepancies to ensure correctness of on-hand amounts.
  • Assist production team with issuing and inventory transaction problems as they occur.
  • Communicate to relevant departments, including Quality, as orders require a COA to be performed.
  • Create shop orders for bulk orders and distribute the paperwork; monitor and track bulk customer orders.
  • Assist Manager/Supervisor, as needed.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Prepare and participate in year-end physical inventory count and audit.
  • Be available to work Saturday/Sunday/holiday for month-end close.
  • Must attend all company required training.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in an inventory or production planning role preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • MS Office, Word, Excel, etc. and preferred experience with Macola software
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to problem-solve and to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as bills of materials, inventory records and production forecasts. Ability to prepare reports and bills of materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Able to be a self-starter in a warehouse or office environment.
