Job Details

Cencora is looking for an experienced communications professional passionate about amplifying the voices of our Enterprise Leadership Team. The Senior Specialist reports to the Director of Executive Communications and will also support the broader Executive and Strategy Communications team as needed. This role manages content development, internal events, and briefs that help executives engage meaningfully with our teams and customers about our purpose, business strategy, and global impact. The Senior Specialist will primarily focus on internal executive communications, with some support needed for external events, conferences, and industry engagements.

This role is ideal for a communicator who enjoys collaborative work, is comfortable partnering with senior leaders, and can bring clarity and simplicity to complex strategic updates.

  • Support the planning, development, and execution of Cencora's enterprise-wide town halls, including agenda creation, speaker outreach, and stakeholder management.

  • In collaboration with internal business partners and stakeholders, help manage the production and annual rollout of Cencora's strategy and priorities to our global team members.

  • Support speechwriting needs including research, synthesis, and storyline development on priority enterprise initiatives.

  • Contribute to select briefing materials and talking points to help prepare executives for internal business engagement events.

  • Apply good judgement, discretion, and editorial rigor when shaping messages for senior leaders.

  • Operate with a global mindset to ensure messaging is accessible and translatable for international audiences.

  • Identify stories and internal thought leadership opportunities to elevate executive voice, presence, and engagement with team members across Cencora communication channels.

  • Manage executive editorial calendar of events and planned content, communication workflows, approvals and distribution aligned to senior leader and enterprise priorities.

  • Manage quarterly dashboard reporting and help evolve and track meaningful metrics, performance measurement, and analytics for the Executive Communications team.

  • Build partnerships with internal stakeholders and become a trusted advisor within the business.

  • Research and stay abreast of latest trends and best practices in internal and/or executive communications.

  • Develop and draft a variety of executive communications internal content as needed, including communication plans, talking points, leadership blog posts, video scripts, speeches, presentations, panel discussion guides, social media posts, and Enterprise Leadership Team bios.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Superior executive presence and comfort in engaging/building relationships with most senior leaders of the organization.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a high-attention to detail and the ability to craft content that feels relevant, engaging, timely, and valuable to the specific audience.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously; ability to own deliverables and effectively manage the deliverable lifecycle, including timely review and approval processes with lead editors, internal stakeholders, and Executive leaders.

  • Excellent strategic, communication, and organizational skills, with a strong ability to take on a consultative approach with leaders, stakeholders, and partners across the organization.

  • Motivation for continuous learning about the global healthcare and pharmaceutical supply chain, as well as topics that connect to Cencora's strategic priorities and related businesses.

  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement of Executive Communications strategies, tools, and creative tactics.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a corporate setting, ideally in communications.

  • Bachelors degree highly preferred.
