Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and wellorganized PartTime Food Services team member to join the Callier Child Development Program. This role is essential in supporting daily meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Key responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of nutritious meals and snacks, upholding high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, and ensuring full compliance with food safety regulations. This temporary, nonbenefitseligible position is scheduled for 19.5 hours per week.
Minimum Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience
Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience in food service, preferably in a childcare or school setting
  • ServSafe certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
  • Experience with pointofsale systems and basic computer/data entry skills


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Flexibility and willingness to crosstrain in all areas of food service operations
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service with a positive and respectful attitude

Other Qualifications
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and serving meals/snacks for children.
  • Follow dietary guidelines and allergy restrictions.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, dishes, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper food storage and labeling.
  • Assist with inventory and supply management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, designee or Director
